Drystone Collective is a group of independent marketing firms led by GoodYou Marketing. You work with one lead and sign one contract, and behind that lead is a bench of specialists in brand, web, paid media, PR, video, analytics and growth, each brought in when your project calls for their work.

The name

No mortar, just stones that fit.

Drive almost any back road in New England and you'll pass a stone wall running through the woods, often older than the trees around it. Farmers built these walls from the rocks the glaciers left behind, clearing their fields a season at a time, and geologist Robert Thorson estimates New England and New York had about 240,000 miles of them by 1871.

Most of those walls were laid dry, with no mortar holding them together. A dry stone wall stands because every stone is chosen for its place and set to carry the ones around it, following the waller's old rule of one stone over two and two stones over one so that no joint runs straight through. Built that way, a wall can last two hundred years.

We took the name because it describes how we work: independent firms, each placed where it's strongest and set so the joints don't show.

The collective

One lead, with the right specialists behind them.

Most organizations end up choosing between two imperfect options. A large agency brings layers of overhead you pay for whether you need them or not, while hiring specialists one at a time turns you into the project manager, coordinating a designer, a PR firm, a media buyer and an analytics consultant who have never worked together.

Drystone takes that job off your plate. GoodYou Marketing leads every engagement, scoping the work, assembling the team from our partner firms and staying accountable for the result, so you get senior specialists without having to manage them.
