Vermont
Marketing for Vermont brands that sell well beyond the state line.
Vermont is the second least populous state in the country and one of the best-known names in specialty food, craft beverages and outdoor recreation, so most of the Vermont organizations we work with are marketing a local story to a national audience.
The market
A Vermont brand usually has a bigger audience outside Vermont than inside it.
Vermont's own media market is centered on Burlington and reaches across Lake Champlain into northern New York, but for food, beverage and outdoor brands the more important customers often live in Boston, New York and beyond. That makes ecommerce, email, search and earned media the backbone of most Vermont marketing plans.
Like Maine, Vermont has banned billboards since the late 1960s, and visitors arrive in waves around ski season, foliage and summer. Brands with a mission behind them also have an advantage here, because Vermont customers expect companies to stand for something and notice when they do.
Services
All nine disciplines are available to Vermont clients.
Vermont clients most often come to us for brand strategy, content and growth marketing, because the brand story does much of the selling and online sales carry it outside the state.

Questions
Here are the questions we hear most from Vermont clients.
Can you help a Vermont brand sell outside Vermont?
Yes. Most of our Vermont work focuses on reaching customers in larger markets through ecommerce, email, search and social, while keeping the brand recognizably Vermont.
Is a small Vermont company too small to work with you?
Not necessarily. We scope each project to what it needs, and many Vermont engagements start with one discipline, such as brand or ecommerce growth, before adding others.
Can you help us get press coverage?
Yes. Our public relations partners pitch regional and national media, and a strong Vermont origin story is often what earns the coverage.
